The CSCS Season Finale was held at the popular Toronto Motorsports Park on September 20th.

This was the last competition of the season for Scott and the E46 M3. The entire season had come down to this one last event. Scott was trailing in second place by only 10 points and being tied for the number of first place wins thus far. This meant that Scott finishing 1st place and Riaan in the Z06 finishing second would mean they would still be tied for points, however Scott's win would put him 3-2 for wins and therefore winner of the overall Champion - he had to finish 1st to finish 1st overall!

There was lots of competition out for the season finale, and the day was going fairly well, but tough being under-powered on a horsepower track. As the day progressed it became tougher to set reasonable qualifying times and it wasn't looking good for Scott.

Heading out for Time Attack the E46 M3 set an official time of 1:19.040 which was not enough.

This was only the second CSCS event for Farshad in the R32 Skyline GTR. Farshad was coming into this competition being quite competitive with the top 5 competitors being within a second of each other. The day started off well, with the times improving as the day progressed. It was all good until the turbo discharge pipe developed a leak (again! - remember Shannonville). With some help from Mike and a mechanically inclined passerby the leak was taped up giving us hope for the competition.

Qualifying in 3rd place with the fastest time in the R32 Skyline GTR of 1:21.6xx. Farshad set out for the Time Attack laps, on the last corner before the front straight, the turbo discharge pipe gave way, having enough momentum to pull off the track, that was the end of our day and the season.
Overall it was not the best day for the Team, but we did go out and set some great lap times this year.

Farshad finished 7th place in the CSCS and OTA Championships in the Street AWD and SGT3 Classes out of over 10 competitors. Not a great result, but not too bad considering he only competed in two events in each series.

S
cott finished 2nd place in the Overall CSCS Championship in the Super Street RWD Class out of 15 competitors.

Congratulation to Scott and Farshad and all the other competitors on a great season!

Stay tuned for some 'big' surprises next year!

The odds going into this competition looked good for us, with Scott having driven Shannonville several times and it being the first event at Shannonville for CSCS this Season and many of the competitors. Unfortunately the R32 GTR was unable to attend.

As always it was a tough day with stiff competition in the Super Street RWD (SSRWD) class, however Scott was consistently setting good times and qualified strong.

Going up against the Corvette of Riaan, Scott managed to run an official time of 59.794 beating Riaan by one-hundredths of a second! putting us on the podium in 1st Place!

Congratulations to Scott and the other competitors and expect to see us full force at the CSCS Season Finale at Toronto Motorsports Park on September 20.

The first Ontario Time Attack event for us this season was at Events 6 & 7 at the Shannonville Motorsports Park.

The day started off great, with the R32 Skyline GTR competing in the SGT3 Class among five competitors on Day 1 (Event 6). Having minimal seat time at the Shannonville Pro Track configuration the day was mostly spent improving on our times and finding ways to get faster.

The day didn't progress quite as well, as the rubber turbo discharge pipe developed a crack and was leaking boost. It even resulted in us getting our first tow off the track when the repair failed and the car stalled on track. Luckily, a fellow GTR owner that was close to Shannonville happened to have a spare and delivered it to us to the track! This allowed us to run the 4th heat and set a reasonable time finishing the first day off in 4th place.

Day 2 (Event 7) was on the Shannonville Full Track configuration
which the GTR had never been on. Fortunately we got a few laps in the evening prior thanks to open lapping by Speed Envy. With the issue from the previous day, the plan was to run only one Time Attack session and make it count. We went out for our session and managed to secure a third place finish, beating a Porsche GT3 struggling with tires by exactly one tenth. Traling second place by only 2 tenths, we decided to go out for one more session, but on the first lap, locked up and flat spotted the RE71Rs, leaving us with no times in the 2nd session but a podium finish for the day.

Overall a tough weekend but not too bad with a 4th and 3rd place finish for the weekend.

With the only event outside Ontario, many time attack teams had make the trek for this event but unfortunately the R32 GTR was unable to attend.

It was a good day with the competition being tough as it always is in the Super Street RWD (SSRWD) class, and with it being the first time on the track for Scott and the M3, each session was a learning/setup session.  As the day progressed, we continued to improve gaining tenths and more around the circuit.

Qualifying in the top 3, we managed to set an official time of 1:47.533 putting us on the podium in 2nd Place!

Congratulations to Scott and the other competitors and expect to see us full force at the next event at Shannonville on August 30!

The Second event of the Season was just last Sunday at the popular Toronto Motorsports Park (TMP) and less than three weeks to go to the Canadian Sports Compact Series (CSCS) Event #3 at ICAR Circuit.

The weather on Sunday was great, a nice breeze not extremely hot, but warm. This was the first event for the R32 Skyline GTR and it was going to be setup, setup and setup kind of a day on new tires we had never driven on before, and the coilovers we never got to try out last year. Competing in the Street AWD (SAWD) Class we spent the practice session making sure everything was good in terms of the operation of the car and temperatures. Everything held together well, and we went out on qualifying trying to get the right settings in for the new suspension, we started to see good improvements but the Group 2 run group was packed and we always got to the grid late and had minimal time on the track – oh well. In addition, before our last qualifying session some unfortunate soul blew up their car and spilled oil all down the driving line all the way through Turn 1 after the main straight!

After about a 20 minute 10 person plus cleanup Group 2 and Group 1 only got an out-lap to clear the grid. We knew the GTR was in the qualifying time, but barely and we managed to Qualify at the end of the Grid in Sixth place.

Struggling to still setup the car we ran out of time to get it optimized, but Farshad went out and managed to drop his best qualifying time by almost 1.5 seconds! And he claims he still has more room for improvement. Finishing a solid 3rd and less than a tenth away from 2nd place.

Scott in the E46 M3 was fighting hard on Sunday as well. The Pirelli tires seemed to struggle with coming up to temperature and grip was a huge issue. Also we were suffering some SMG issues which was delaying our shifts, resulting in an over-rev and a delay in power delivery until the shift was completed. We spent the day messing around with the tires and dealing with the SMG issue and Scott was not able to spend time optimizing anything else setup wise. Eventually we ran out of time to get the tires optimized and also fell victim to missing the last Qualifying session to improve due to the oil mishap.

The E46 M3 qualified in 3rd, which was not the greatest coming out of a win at Mosport DDT in the Super Street RWD (SSRWD) Class. Lined up 3rd on the grid with a time that was almost 1.5 seconds off our best time at TMP, Scott pushed hard and managed to hold on to 3rd place with 2nd place only half a second away and well within reach of our best time.

Both drivers finish on the Podium @ CSCS Round 2
This was the first event with both the M3 and the GTR competing being relatively underpowered at TMP compared to their competition, especially the M3 in SSRWD and struggling with issues, we are glad to have two podium finishes!

We are looking forward to ICAR where Scott will be in attendance in the M3.

The Official CSCS Times were:

Farshad – R32 Skyline GTR – SAWD – 1:22.493
Scott – E46 M3 – SSRWD – 1:19.881

Congratulation to Farshad, Scott and the other class winners and look out for us at CSCS Round 3!

The first event of the Season was just a month ago and its only two weeks to the Canadian Sports Compact Series (CSCS) Event #2 at the popular Toronto Motorsports Park.

The GTR was unable to compete in the first event, however the E46 M3 driven by Scott was representing us in the first event in Super Street RWD (SSR) at the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park for the CSCS Season Opener. The layout for the day was Clockwise with Two Kinks (Front & Back Straights).

With some tough competition in the SSR which included two strong performing Corvettes, Scott knew it was going to be close. The day progressed with us struggling with the new Pirelli tries to start, but things started to work out as the day progressed. The M3 was in the top three consistently and within only a few tenths of the leader it was obvious it was going to come down to the Time Attack laps to keep it cool and make it count!

When it came time for the Time Attack laps Scott and the M3 showed spectacular performance and determination and set an Official Time of 1:34.633! This time was enough to keep us in the lead and finish in first place by two-tenths!

Congratulation to Scott and the other class winners and look out for us at CSCS Round 2!
